This is our touchpoint email, and you will receive one every quarter.  Look for it because it will contain pertinent links, important dates and other information to keep you fully informed.  Be sure to add this email address to your contact list so that you never miss one.

Calendar
A great place to stay up-to-date on important dates is the calendar found on the parent dashboard. Here you’ll find information such as Flex submission dates, testing dates, school dates, etc.

PLG / Flex Direct Due Dates
Here are the remaining Flex Direct  submission dates for 1st semester

  • November 13
  • December 4
  • December 18 
  • January 13

End of 1st Semester
Mark your calendars for the end of 1st semester.  It’s coming up quickly and will be on Jan. 13, 2022.  This is the final date that students can work in online courses and is also the final date to submit Flex worksheets or quizzes, and PLG uploads. 

Checking Grades in School Pathways
Be sure to check School Pathways for your child’s course grades. School Pathways is used to gather all online, Flex, and PLG grades into one place. Twice a month grades are updated, based on student progress and scores on assignments. Login emails for School Pathways were sent to you when you enrolled.  Contact your mentor if you missed that email to have it sent to you again.

BYU Proctor Dates
If you have a student that is enrolled in a BYU class, please call customer service at BYU 801-422-2868 to schedule your test to be proctored by no later than December 31. This is the final date to have the test taken.  All course work needs to be in by no later than December 24, 2021.

ISAT Practice Test / IRI Practice Test
This coming year, IHLA’s performance will be ranked on ISAT growth, ISAT proficiency, IRI proficiency, student/parent/teacher surveys (sent out next spring), and percentage of 8th grade students enrolled in pre-algebra or higher. Throughout the school year, we will be working hard to support your family in any way we can. We have formed a Student Success Team that is available to perform diagnostic testing in reading and math and provide interventions through iReady and other avenues. We have trained teachers on how to administer ISAT interim testing for those interested. We will be providing an experience for IRI modeling throughout the year to help students prepare for the spring test. We are committed to making IHLA successful and providing your students the support they need to be successful!

  • Go to Clever (this will show Oneida School District) to access IRI Practice Test (I-Station/ISIP) or ISAT Practice Tests (in District section). Enter in your child’s login information.  If you do not have that, please contact your mentor.

Below are instructional slides on how to take the IRI and ISAT practice tests. We hope by giving you this early, your students will not be worried about how the test works.

We have also found two great resources for Idaho students to practice for the ISAT (Smarter Balanced) Tests.

IRI and ISAT Drawings
We have created a drawing that all students have a chance to enter each month. For any student who does an IRI or ISAT practice test each month, they will let their mentor know and that student will be put in for a $25 gift card to Amazon to purchase what they would like. If they do the IRI and ISAT practice tests every month (November, December, January, and February), they will be able to be put into a drawing for a $100 certificate at the end of March.

  • There will be a total of three $25 certificates and one $50 certificate given out for the IRI practices tests.

We encourage all students to participate and familiarize themselves with both tests. Once you have taken the practice test, please email your mentor that you have taken this test, and she will put you in for the drawing! 

Please watch your email for your ISAT date and time.  It will be coming to you by December 31.

Resource Orders
Resource ordering will open again from December 1 to January 31.  Please note that orders placed in December are not guaranteed delivery before Christmas.

You are also able to submit a reimbursement request each month from now through May 27 for each child. Only one document may be uploaded for each reimbursement request, but you may include multiple receipts in the document. 

You can check your student’s funding balance by going to your parent dashboard and clicking on the Funding tab. Scroll down to see a funding summary for your child(ren. You can also select your child’s name on the right side to see their individual funding account with each order amount and the remaining balance for your child. 

Create Help Desk Ticket
Resource orders and reimbursements are being processed. If you have any issues placing an order or problems with the order once it is received, you can place a help ticket to contact the ordering team.

  • To open a help ticket, go to the Family Resource Center > Parent Dashboard > Help > Resource Ordering Help Desk.
