Hello, Harmony / Pioneer Virtual Academy Families,

School is almost over this year, and we will miss talking with you for a couple of months while you go on all your summer adventures. Before the school year ends, make sure all your student’s work is submitted and up to date. Also, make sure you have re-enrolled your students so you don’t need to worry about it over the summer. 

Orders for the 2023-24 school year will be processed beginning on July 1, so having everything submitted for enrollment and having classes selected will help ensure that you are ready to get all your school supplies. Your mentor will be available all summer to help answer any questions.

A great place to stay up-to-date on important dates is the calendar found on the parent dashboard. Here you’ll find information such as Flex submission dates, testing dates, school dates,  etc.

May 23: Last Day to Submit Work

Last Day to Submit
May 19 is the last day to complete online coursework and submit work for Flex and Portfolio courses in Canvas. Any work submitted after that will not be graded. If you have any problems uploading work or with courses being locked, make sure you let your mentor know as soon as possible.

Re-enrollment Now Open
Enrollment for the 2023-24 school year has begun. You should have received an email with instructions on how to re-enroll. If you haven’t received it yet, please check your spam folder or reach out to your mentor for help. If you have younger children or friends who would like to enroll, you can complete a new student application now. We look forward to working with your family for the new school year!

Reimbursement Closing
The last day to submit reimbursements and use any of your allotted for the 2022-23 school year is May 31.Make sure that any receipts are submitted through the Reimbursement Request form on the parent dashboard by then, or we will be unable to reimburse you.

If you enroll for the 2023-24 school year, select courses, and get them approved. Resource ordering opens on June 1, and orders are processed beginning on July 1.

Spotlight: BrainPop
Did you know that Harmony provides BrainPop accounts to all students? BrainPop inspires children to connect deeply to any topic by making it relatable, entertaining, and easy to understand. Their proven approach boosts academic achievement while building thinking and SEL skills. 

BrainPop provides engaging content for grades K-8 in the following subjects: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Arts & Music, Health & SEL, and Engineering & Technology.
You are encouraged to use this program with your children as best meets their needs. There are no expected number of activities, and students are not required to use this program.
