Utah Families - Learn How You Can Access Individualized and Flexible Home-based Educational Programs for Free

Multi-Age Program (MAP)

MAP is a multi-age core support program for grades 1-6 that meets one day a week.  It provides a bridge between home-centered, parent-directed learning and teacher-directed, school-supported learning.  MAP is a combination of direct instruction and project-based learning, where students are placed in multi-age, ability groups to participate in Reading Activities, Writing Labs, Math Games, and Science experiments, for approximately 5 hours.  Students will select their MAP Core classes during their SSP. Lessons are planned around state standards and use a variety of teaching materials and curriculum. The program also includes access to home-based materials to support student learning.  MAP does not include any elective classes, and students may enroll in Options Day or choose other elective courses from the course catalog.
