Calendars
A great place to stay up-to-date on important dates is the calendar found on the parent dashboard. Here you’ll find information such as Flex submission dates, testing dates, school dates, etc.

Upcoming School Dates:
- April 5: End of 3rd Quarter
- April 29: No school
- May 3: 4th Quarter Portfolio submission due
- May 27: Memorial Day, Harmony office closed, no school
- June 7: Last day of school (End of 3rd Trimester and 4th Quarter)

How to keep your students engaged
- Warm-up: Have your child start with something that gets them excited. That could be trivia, a quick game, or a short story. Find what interests your student.
- Movement: If your student is getting restless, let them get up and move around. Even just a few minutes of movement can help students re-engage.
- Location: Students don’t all think or work the same. Changing studying locations can help! Mix it up and have your child try moving to a table, couch, bed, or bean bag. Even going outside can help students get back into their work.
- Hands-on: If students are struggling to absorb a concept, find a way to give them a more hands-on experience. This could be a field trip, things around the house, or even someone you know is an expert who can help teach it. The options are endless.
Important: Corvallis Homeroom / Attendance
Be sure to have your child respond to the daily attendance question in the Corvallis Homeroom Course in Canvas. The question is posted each day, and you have until 10:00 am to answer the question. Doing so provides Corvallis School District #1 Montana with a daily “attendance log” and helps them to have a connection with students. This is an important part of your child’s attendance with Corvallis.
If you are only working a 4-day school week, please email your mentor and let them know to add your students to the 4-day spreadsheet. Your mentor will be able to excuse your Friday absences once you notify her that you only work 4 school days.

Portfolio Submissions for 3rd Trimester and 4th Quarter (Grades K-12)
For Harmony Portfolio courses, the 3rd trimester and 4th quarter portfolio submissions are due on May 3rd. All portfolios need to be submitted as soon as possible to give the teachers time to review and grade them. If you weren’t able to submit by the 3rd, please email your mentor.
The guidelines for portfolios are as follows:
- 5-8 portfolio items per subject.
- Items need to show student work, and examples could include worksheets, reports, tests/quizzes, science projects, etc. Remember that portfolio Items need to be the student’s actual work, not a learning log or description of what the student has been doing.
- Portfolio items need to be grade-level work.
- Portfolio items need to demonstrate student work over the course of 2 months.
Reimbursement Requests
Reimbursements can be requested once a month. Be sure to select the PRE APPROVAL option when you request your reimbursement in the FRC (Family Resource Center).
Please also remember that all purchases over $1000.00 will become assets of the Corvallis School District #1 Montana, when/if your student exits the Harmony program.
Resource Orders
Resource ordering is now closed. Reimbursements will be open until the end of May. Don’t wait until the last minute to send in your reimbursement receipts. All receipts need to be submitted by May 31st to be reimbursed.
