Happy New Year and congratulations on completing Semester 1! For parents that are new this year to Harmony, we hope that you have conquered the learning curve of how our program works and are now enjoying the freedom this type of learning can provide.

Last day to place a Resource Order: Jan. 31 (There will be no extensions)
Presidents Day: Feb. 21
Last day of 3rd Quarter: Mar. 11 (Deadline to submit ALL Q3 work)
Spring Break: Mar. 14-18
Kuhio Day: Mar. 25
Good Friday: Apr. 15
Last day of 2nd Semester: May 27 (Deadline to submit ALL work)
Second Semester Tips
We hope that you now have a solid understanding of how our program works. Online curriculum grades (for middle school electives and high school courses) will continue to be updated in School Pathways every two weeks. You will see a grade in your online class, but it may be different than what you see in School Pathways. That is because Harmony calculates your online grades AND your pace (how far along you should be compared to how far along you actually are within the curriculum). This is why it is important to stay up to date with your pacing, as well as doing well within the assignments. You received pacing information for each online curriculum in your initial email with login information.
For core courses, students will submit nine worksheets for the second semester. It is important that you upload worksheets ahead of time and NOT wait until the end of the semester. Worksheets are graded by a group of graders at Harmony. The graders will leave comments for you regarding worksheets. Please check back often to stay on top of student grades and work, read the comments, redo work for a better grade, etc.
If you have questions, comments and concerns about the Flex worksheets, please submit them via the Flex Feedback Form (click link). Any and all feedback is appreciated, especially as we make improvements for next year.
New 2nd Semester Classes
For students who have new elective courses for 2nd semester, you should have received your login information already. If not, please contact me as soon as possible. Remember that you have two weeks from the time that you receive your login to review and work in the course to make sure that it is a good fit for your student. If you have questions about 2nd semester courses, please let us know.
2nd Semester Ordering
Ordering for 2nd semester is now open through January 31. Remember that you will only be able to submit one order per child for 2nd semester. After January 31, no orders will be accepted, so please be sure to complete your order before then. If you have questions about ordering, please let us know. There will be no extensions!
